wolf portrait painting

What I love most about art is I feel that there is a spiritual connection when doing art. When I am in a good feeling place it feels like magic happens. I always set an intention to how I want my art to come out and then I align myself by staying in a good feeling place. I also trust, believe and expect it will come out the way I want. I usually want to capture the true essence of the person or animal. In this wolf portrait my intention was to have the background come out the way I saw it in my mind. I was looking for a picture to match what was in my mind but I couldn’t find it. So after I set my intention I was having fun with the blues and purple watercolor paint. I was just feeling good and painting. I wasn’t really looking I was just going with it. I trusted the end result was going to look how I wanted or even better. I was very satisfied with the end result the blue was what I had imagined and I also saw trees in the far background. I didn’t plan that but I liked that a lot.

This wolf picture is still available for sale. If you like it is on 12 x 18 watercolor paper.  The price is $250. You can email me at Salvatore@jbellarts.com. Read my post about my Abraham Lincoln Portrait

Preparing to make a custom portrait of Abraham Lincoln and the intention I set.

I did this portrait a while back for my dad using pencil and charcoal. My dad had a speech to make and he was going to talk about leadership. One of the examples he was going to give was Abraham Lincoln’s leadership. My dad showed me the picture of Abraham Lincoln that he wanted me to do a portrait of.  I was very eager to get started on it. When I was looking at the picture of Abraham Lincoln I saw that he was very tired. That is not what I wanted my portrait of him to look like. I was looking to capture confidence, compassion and his leadership. So I came up with the intention I wanted to set and that was leadership, compassion and confidence. It works for me every time. Sometimes it happens quick and sometimes it takes a while but I always expect it will show up.  I found that expectation is huge. Sometimes it takes time to be able to expect something but once you get to that place it is easy to manifest what you want.  I also prepare for doing a portrait by aligning myself. That is by appreciating things, looking for the good in things, listening to music that feels amazing. This all puts me in a loving place and I notice it allows my intentions to be accomplished. These pictures I attached is of the portrait I drew with pencil and charcoal and the other one is the real photo of Abraham Lincoln. My son the artist

Jordan my little artistI just wanted you to know more about me . I also have a landscaping business. I appreciate my business but I am also I’m exited to grow my art career. I didn’t start doing art until later in life. That was 4 years ago. Sometimes I would wonder where I would be now if I had the ability to do art when I was my sons age or even a little older. Even thou I didn’t I am still happy that I can do it now and I am excited to see it expand. My son is 8 years old and he loves doing art. He always tells me he wants to do art when he is bigger as his job. The other day was career day in school and he wanted me to help him dress up for it. I was very proud of him. I don’t know how to make him an artist besides putting a business card in his shirt pocket and having him bring in color pencils and a paint brush .  I wanted to splash some paint on his shirt but I didn’t think my wife would agree. I’m proud of him and if he does major in art and take it up in college I think that is wonderful because he is so young there is so much he can learn, create and grow.

AN INSPIRATION FOR ART & DESIRES

It’s so exciting to draw portraits for people. I wasn’t always able to draw. I starting later on in life. I was drawing with my children and realize this is fun and the more I focus on my drawing the better they become. At that time I had read a million spiritual books and knew the more you focus on something  you can create it into your reality. The best teacher I found that I finally seen results when I a plied was Abraham Hicks. So awesome. So I decided to really test it out with art. It was so amazing with in one year I was able to draw portraits pretty well. Then I decided to put that same focus into my 9 to 5 job which is my landscaping business. I started to notice the more I was focusing on my landscape business that I sort of was getting frustrated with at the time then I started to feel better about it. Then with continuing focus and feeling better and better about my business I started to see I was really mogving in the right direction. In a year’s time I totally transformed my business being in a pretty good place, doing less physical work for myself and still bringing in the money I wanted. This can be applied in other areas of your life too. This is so exciting.  Here is my latest family drawn portrait I am working on. I always loved Robin Williams. He inspires me to do great at what ever I do because he was so great at what he did. I enjoyed doing his portrait. Now that I have finished his portrait I love looking at it. He seems alive. When I see the drawing he looks happy. That was my intention when doing the drawing. I wanted to capture his love and happy self. I feel there is so much more that goes on what we can’t see. One of my favorite things when doing art is when you focus it brings you to a different realm. You can feel it, you get inspired and the results are amazing. I love applying what I learned through my art journey in different areas in life. You can see my art at http://www.jbellarts.com.
